Dr. Lauren Johnson
Dr. Lauren Johnson has lived in Tulsa all of her life except for the eight years she spent in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University (for her undergraduate studies, as well as veterinary school). She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, and worked in a small animal practice for 10 years before getting hired at Hammond Animal Hospital in 2011. Now, with over 15 years of experience, Dr. Johnson has purchased the practice where she will bring her zest for life and her veterinary skills to every animal she treats. Her main interests are medicine and preventative care. She lives in Tulsa with her blended family of five comprised of her boyfriend, Wayne, and their three children, Ellery, Ike, and Gage. Lauren’s family wouldn’t be complete without her furry children—four dogs (Clyde, Mabel, Otis, and Baby) and three cats (Hody, Frank, and Marigold). When not working, she enjoys going to concerts, music festivals, theater of all varieties, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr Dennis Henson and his wife of over 40 years live on a tiny farm in Tulsa with several dogs, cats, horses, and a llama. They are blessed with a full family of sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. His important things in life are faith, family, and a lot of fun at work doing surgery. He graduated veterinary school in 1975 from Oklahoma State University (no it was not still Oklahoma A&M then). His primary focus at Hammond Animal Hospital is surgery. He appreciates all the support of his clients and staff, and is looking forward to the future.

After graduating from veterinary school he practiced emergency medicine in Tulsa for a year and a half before coming to work for Hammond Animal Hospital. RVT
Kathy
After raising 4 wonderfully rambunctious children, Kathy went back to school and earned her second degree as a Veterinary Technician. The first was a degree in business from OSU (Go Pokes!). After passing national and state boards and becoming a registered technician, she started her 17 year (and counting) career in Tulsa. She has been a volunteer in the Education Department at the Tulsa Zoo for 27 years. There seems to be a theme of wackiness in her life. At last count there are 4 children, 3 extremely attractive daughters and son-in-laws, 1 unsuspecting daughter-in-law to be, 1 adorable grandson, 1 cute grandchild on the way (ultrasounds don’t lie!), multiple grandpets and some cats of her own here and there.
